The weather didn't look as horrible as was forecast for today, and I couldn't stand being cooped up inside anymore, so I decided to make a quick trip up to Lake Angeles.
The trail was clear of snow for the first couple of miles, then began to get gradually deeper after crossing Ennis creek. By the time I got to the lake there was approx 4 feet in places. However, there has been enough traffic on the trail that it is fairly well packed. Made it all the way to the lake on micro spikes, only limited postholing the last hundred yards or so. Only sketchy spot was crossing the creek right before the lake, I know there is a walk log there somewhere but not sure I was over it or not. A full body posthole 6 feet into the creek would have sucked.

Nice. I used to live in one of the little cabins at Lake Dawn and hiked up there many times.
