It's that time of year again! The Bushwhacker Climbing Club is accepting applications for our annual Backcountry Scramble Course (https://bwcc.clubexpress.com/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=172409&module_id=151595). We're a small non-profit climbing club that fosters and educates a community that enjoys wilderness adventures. This is a great course that offers training in wilderness navigation, unroped travel across moderately exposed snow, ice axe skills, and snow camping. We're accepting applications until the end of February for the April course. Feel free to reach out with any questions!

This looks like a great option for folks interested in getting off the beaten path to expand their scope of hiking possibilities. up.gif

pricefiester: the link in your post seems to be broken due to the last parenthesis. The correct link is http://bwcc.clubexpress.com/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=172409&module_id=151595

Where is your club located and what areas do you frequent? As a non-member, it wasn't clear from the web site.

The club offers first rate, comprehensive, no nonsense courses. We took their glacier climbing class back in 2007 and learned so many skills in a very short time.

Most of our members live in the greater Seattle region. Lectures for this course are in downtown Seattle this year. Outings for the course are a bit dependent on weather/conditions but usually take place in the North or Central Cascades or Rainier area.
