New Teneriffe trail up, old Teneriffe trail down. After the first half-mile or so I didn't see a single person all day until I was about a third of the way down Teneriffe. Even then it was just a few people. Tons of fresh snow. It snowed off and on all day. I put on snowshoes around 3,000 feet. There was a good snowshoe trench all the way to Teneriffe, but I had to break trail to Blowdown Mountain. It was deep and slow-going. Nothing particularly interesting about the Blowdown summit...just a clump of trees with no views. But now I can say that I've been there, I guess. When I reached the Teneriffe summit there was a well beat-in bootpack heading up from the old trail. I stowed my snowshoes at that point and just booted down. About 12.5 miles and 4,600 ft. of gain RT.

Nice to see what it's like up there so soon after the snow. Was there much flow on the ice at Teneriffe Falls?
