Acquaintances of mine - two parents and six young kids - started thru-hiking the AT last week. They're originally from the PNW but now reside in Kentucky. They've hiked the wonderland trail and other long hikes before but nothing quite like this! They're vlogging their journey so if you're curious....
"We’re the Crawford family and we're walking 2,200 miles from Georgia to Maine on the Appalachian trail with our kids who are 2, 7, 11, 13, 15, and 16 years old. We think it will take us 6 months but we've never done anything like this."

Wow, that will be quite an undertaking! Is the 2 year old going for youngest to complete the AT crown? Better walk every step of the way to avoid controversy.

I can't wait for the two-year-old to be banging out thirty-milers day after day, that will be a heck of a story
