I saw the road. I also saw that it was closed during the winter, which is confusing because one of the pictures shows pickups parked there--4x4s.
I am recalling how things were in the 1960s. And I obviously never walk anywhere, just ask my dog. When you are a little kid carrying skis, poles, and all bundled up, postholing up to your crotch in snow is not fun at all--and that's how it was at times when I stepped off the packed trail. Did you not read how I truly despise clomping around in ski boots? It hurts and is bad for the boots.
Nope, I don't "ski tour". I cross country ski.
What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

No I have not. I have trouble motivating friends to come along (none of us likes the idea of riding on the back of a snow cat) and had an owie from a bout of pickleball. I would like to do the trudge up shorter one which would avoid a rough snowcat ride.
