I did find this about Sunday lake 1000 - Sunday Lake INACCESSIBLE Sunday Lake trailhead (#1000), is CLOSED until further notice. Trail inaccessible by vehicle. Use caution crossing the river as the weather changes the river will rise. Trail was brushed end of 2013. Access Roads: FS RD 57 Status Updated: 04/13/2018

I have always had to wade the river to get to the lake. Whats the big deal now?

No clue, that is just the status on the road conditions and trail conditions. I know there is a portion of the road eroding I am pretty sure a ways before the Sunday lake TH, that is the part I am wondering about.

It's my understanding this is the problem. The road is washed out before you even get to the jumping off point for Sunday Lake. I've always liked the wade across Sunday creek. Keeps out the riff-raff. I wish they'd get this fixed though, would like to hike Bare Mt. and some of the other trails up Lennox Creek again this year.

Heard from a few people that have been out there in the last few weeks, the road is ok there. They made it up to where you make the 90 degree turn and cross the creek and river. He said the snow started soon after that so that is as far as he went.
