We did our annual spring recon trip into the Eastern Olympics. Forecast was mostly cloudy with chance of showers. We got that as well as hail, full on rain and a dump of snow... A good reminder to be prepared for anything in the mountains.
The road is in great shape. Only 2 cars at the trailhead. A handful of blowdowns along the trail all easily negotiated.

Snow starts just before the lower meadow. Didn't need the spikes hiking up but did put them on for the descent - mostly for the logs and boardwalks which were now slick with wet snow.
