Looking for some one to join me. Long 2 day climb. Over 10k of gain. Im not particularly in shape for it this season but usually just force myself to do this kind of thing at the start of the season.

sounds fun, but might not be the right year since it seems people are reporting an early melt at lower elevations.

The approach up the side valley to the glacier is quite brushy higher up. (Hint: stay on the left side as you ascend.) However, it's probably less brushy now than later in the summer. Good luck knocking it off in 2 days though, esp if you aren't in tip-top shape!

Thanks for the tips! I think it will still be ok. From the little I have seen of other trip reports there should still be some snow around 4k to keep the brush down. Did a little fitness test yesterday. Mt Si twice to the boulder field took be a bit over 5 hours with a light pack. Looks like I'm as ready as im gonna be!

I'll join you but I'll probably want to climb Buckner and horseshoe as well and exit cascade pass.

The Pacific coast to the Great Plains = my playground!!! SummitPost Profile See my website at: http://www.lemkeclimbs.com
