we were on Mailbox today at about 2 PM & way off to the SW we could see two very bright lights. This was probably 30 miles away and the lights were 'relatively' close together. They were on for about 20' till the fog rolled in
Any ideas what they were?
Anything in the Southwest on the ground at 30 miles would be seen through the gap between Mt Washington and Rattlesnake Ridge. That could be a sun reflection off Rattlesnake Lake, Cedar River, Lake Tapps or valley glass buildings. In the air, you might see aircraft in the SEA approach path.
