The road (6066) is in great shape. Run into solid snow on the trail at about 4K. Plenty of foot prints to follow. I was quite surprised that on this nice Sunday, we were the only ones there. Met 3 more coming in as we were almost out of the Old Growth. Sweet day. Live every day like you will die to-marrow: For some day that will be true.

Have they started on the road fix near the trail head and parking lot expansion yet? Was up there about month and a half ago and Michaels Construction was looking things over.

I like that trail. We were up there on Saturday. If you go, I'd advise a later start to take advantage of late afternoon/evening light on the surrounding peaks.
