PCT is reopened after 55 work parties and 5,000 hours of volunteer effort that complimented USFS, TKO, WTA and other efforts. https://www.pcta.org/2018/pct-open-columbia-river-gorge-59244/ Note that we here in Washington have our own fire area to clear - about 12 miles of the PCT is inside the fire perimeter of the Norse Peak Fire. Even though the trail is open, no official assessment has yet to be made, so damage is still TBD. But based on past history, its likely to require a fair amount of work. Join the crew. https://www.pcta.org/volunteer-project/arch-rock-2017-norse-peak-fire-recovery/
