Some years ago Phil Fortier did a TR on Vesper. One of the entries in the Summit register read "A great climb! But... Fred Beckey is on crack, and Jim Nelson is a route whore!". Jim Nelson is a route whore.

Have put in a request on the KCLS website for this movie. If it's available through a distribution channel to which they have access, they'll order it. If not, they won't. In the promo video, I liked Beckey's response when asked if he'd ever taken writing classes: "No, it would have f****d me up".

They are going to be showing the Beckey movie at the Admiral Theater in Bremerton on Wednesday June 30. Link to Admiral Theater website.

I donated to the Kickstarter so you're welcome to come over to my place for a showing once I get my copy. In fact, anybody in the West Sound area would be welcome to come over. We can have a showing.
I received my copy of Dirtbag today, so we can set up a showing any time we can find dates that work, if you missed the screening at the Admiral. I don't know how it escaped my notice that Dirtbag had a screening at the Admiral in Bremerton (it was on 20 June, not 30 June). I even have season tickets for their performance schedule. I guess I don't get emails on movies. Anyway, I'll be happy to host a West Sound screening.

Even though I saw the movie at the Banff Film fest last November (where the film won peoples choice awards) I would love to see it again! Where are you hosting this screening? I would love to check it out if I am still in the area.

I’ll never forget the look on Fred’s face as he signed my three copies. He gave me a wink and said, “Don’t you go getting into trouble now.” Looks like the movie becomes available on iTunes on Tuesday.

I was a Kickstarter backer so they sent me a download code once it had been released.

Hi Brian, I watched the movie at the Admiral Theater but would be interested in seeing it again if you can set something up. Afterwards I was thinking I should have started a new thread to post the notice about the showing at the Admiral and then I got the date wrong also. doof.gif At the time I didn't think about it being buried in this thread. I think they were saying at the Admiral that the DVD copy has some stuff in it that was not in the theater showings. Also there were some short blank spots in the showing at the Admiral. I don't know what was up with that.

Hey, I appreciate that! I just downloaded a copy off the website (via iTunes), so my attendance is not a sure thing. Again, I appreciate your generosity.

I've been told by the distributer that DVD (Bluray?) will be available. I got my digital download stored on my wife's computer somewhere, just gotta find it and put it on a thumb drive.
