Makes my mundane location in the "Great Whte North" of the northern great plains look quite unexciting (and quite OK), blizzards and all! Although, I *would* like to see this in person, were it not so $$$ to get there to do so.

Has anyone seen a volume estimate, i.e. x cu. yds./day? Best. Pyrites

Really love this eruption picture with Mauna Loa ( left) and Mauna Kea in background. The eruption continues to fascinate me.... cool.gif https://volcanoes.usgs.gov/observatories/hvo/multimedia_uploads/multimediaFile-2463.jpg

https://volcanoes.usgs.gov/observatories/hvo/multimedia_uploads/multimediaFile-2578.mp4 Check out this amazing video clip from July when there was a collapse event at the Kilauea summit. It was recorded at the Hawaii Volcanoes Observatory on the rim of Kilauea. Sound on to catch the noise of the rock wall cracking! eek.gif cool.gif

Great video, lookout bob. That stone wall really jumped around. And you could hear the roar from down below. Thanks, ~z
