finally, I made it to Mailbox Peak, via the new trail. I'm sure lots of nwhikers have been on this peak, BUT it must be my big hair that our very own nwhiker Phil recognized as me on his way down the new trail. earlier Phil hiked up via the old trail, came down the new, and that's where we met. He must be glutton for punishment because Phil went back up for round two! on his way back up the old trail for round 2. he caught up with me on my way down just past the boulders! animal!
