If you had a compressible hemorrhage not amenable to a limb tourniquet, then a hemostatic adjunct might the right choice. A hemostatic agent type dressing might also be used in conjunction with a limb tourniquet, but honestly your gauze roll and 4x4s are going to do the trick. Quickclot is one choice, but Celox and XGuaze work too. I think having 4x4s and a large guaze roll are the best choice, followed by having a tourniquet. Still best is to get some decent training.
