We headed out to Bonanza in early July like most people seem to do. We enjoyed the slow boat and bus to Holden and then endured some heat and mosquitoes on the way to camp. The forecast was for possible rain after 11 and possible thunderstorms after 2 so we left camp at 4:45 and tried to get up and down quick. The weather held and was even quite nice for most of the day. One other party on the route and everything generally in good shape. Easy crossing from snow to rock and just a few lingering snow patches on the scramble route. Back to camp by 1:30 and the rain and thunderstorms didn't start until almost 5. All in all it went about as well as possible besides some bug bites.
