That's funny. I recently went up to Tank Lakes with my friend. I told him the first 5 miles is flat and easy. As we were hiking it he was like, dude... this is not flat! lol It does have it's ups and downs doesn't it.

Ha, ha, you noticed that too. So it wasn't my imagination. Strangely, those five miles seem a lot flatter going in than coming out.

I think the easternmost high point is the true summit, but who cares. If you got up that loose pile that is the western high point congrats -- I chickened out on that. Thanks for the report

Gawd, the hike out from Necklace Valley is awful.
FWIW, tagging the true summit from the E (Foss Glacier) is easy peasy, although getting to the Foss Glacier is quite involved
|
