Beautiful photos! I've always seen this peak on maps when trip planning, but perhaps I'll finally venture out there next year!

The tarn below the summit is one of the best swimming holes I've ever been in. Perfect for escaping bugs and heat yet warm enough to lounge around in without shivering after a couple of minutes.
The highest of the tarns on Mac Peak. This one is about 10' deep in the middle.

Sorry the original register got lost! But I don't agree about Deception Lakes. Deception Lakes were actually nice compared to Mac Peak slopes smile.gif Mac Peak is where the headquarters are!

My dog hates water, so tarns don't work for us for cooling. Only snow does smile.gif

Your trip reports always make me chuckle and give me trip envy. This one is no exception. I especially like your marmot photos.
