Wow, a whole herd. I encountered the remains of a deer (I think it was a deer) badly dismembered in an avalanche path near Rainy Pass one spring a few years back. It is possible the deer was killed in the avalanche and then dismembered as part of a feast. It was just bones with a bit of hair and sinew.

Look at the trauma to those elk bodies. A vivid reminder of the potential trauma to a person's body caught in an avalanche.

I've found several goats but only two elk that were killed in avalanches.

Have I offended you today?
