How's the Dingford Road for cars these days? I remember reading about a bear at or around Williams Lake.... Thinking of a trip up there maybe this weekend, anyone wanna come with?

It was in about the best shape I'd ever seen it when I was up at Dingford back in June. The usual rough spots were still rough, but passable (slowly) for a sedan. Probably a bit more rough around the edges since then.

Just remember to not leave any valuables in your vehicle as mine was broke into there.

I got to the Dingford Creek trailhead in my ancient Nissan Sentra a few days ago. It's a bit rough but certainly doable with a normal car.

Lots of pot holes as usual. But the trouble spots are all easy-peasy since they were fixed up in the spring to get the pump truck up to the Dingford trailhead to empty the toilet. We've had no significant rains to erode them out since then -- but that will happen this winter as always.

Wow, if Dingford Creek is considered good now, I am not going to like driving it when it is bad. I spent years largely avoiding the Middle Fork once they truncated the road. I figured I would wait until they paved what they paved. I was hoping that the bumpy section was going to be decent (similar to say, the Teanaway) but it is full of big potholes. Yeah, you can drive it with anything, it will just take a while (or you will bounce around a lot).
