I hiked the Clear Lost Lookout trail this last weekend.
This is used as the PCT detour right now. I bumped into 40 to 50 north bound hikers.
You can see smoke from the fires from the lookout.
A question for others. Someone marked the trail with the orange plastic marker ribbon, on dozens of trees and rocks, writing PCT 2018 detour on them all. This was in addition to the signs placed at trial intersections.
Is this actually plastic, or another material?
Do they go back and pick up all this plastic tape?
