Ryan Island is the largest island in the largest lake in the largest island in the largest lake in the world. I have seen it.

Surprised no one has mentioned "7-Pine Island" in Diablo Lake. Spectacular location for a mid-summers picnic and swim. The name maybe subject to change as the pines are rapidly dying off. I think it was 5-Pine this last summer.

I've been to Isle Royale a couple times, but never camped at Siskwit Lake.

"Micro Island Paradise", by Lori McCormick This is reproduced without permission. I hope they don't mind; it is such a clever photograph. 2010 WTA photo contest, runner-up, "Offbeat Outdoors" division.

No competition. The Crater Lake by Chaval.
Not many have been to that one, let alone rafted out to its island. That lake is on my bucket list.

Sadly, don't remember the name of the lake and the island no doubt did not have a name. Was in the Boundary Waters Area on a canoe trip years ago and was the absolute most fantastic place to overnight.

Life is short so live it well.
