Somewhere on the web or here I saw the recommendation for best crackers for trail meals. One criterion was that the cracker does not easily break with your fingers.

I gave up trying to haul crackers in a pack. They're going to be crumbs unless you pack them into some sort of hard-walled container (metal or Tupperware.)
I haul the "Middle East flat bread" from Trader Joes now:

Sailor Boy Pilot Bread aka Hardtack, salt less saltines on steroids, an acquired taste. Good delivery mechanism for sardines or peanut butter. QFC used to carry it. You may have to look around.

 Kids used to love Sailor boys called them pie biscuits. Best we got though were some German ones we found in a hikers boxin the Sierras. They were organic no GMO hardtack indestructible but tasty. As far as I know unavailable in the US.

Started using more naan myself. However, love Ak-Mak, very tasty and healthy (whole wheat), but fairly fragile and they seem to get stale before I can finish a whole box. Recently found and like Trader Joe's Seeds and Grains Crispbread Norwegian Crackers. Very sturdy, good ingredients, long shelf life.

Wheat thins survive pretty well in their bag, no box if you want real crackers.

+3 on the naan. Not to be confused with pita bread, tasteless by comparison. I think the key ingredient difference is yogurt in the naan dough. Plus you can find it in flavors - like garlic - mmm!

Siljans crisp bread (whole rye) sold at QFC in giant disc form is very durable and tasty, and can double as a frisbee if you don't end up liking it. Also I just sometimes go with whole wheat tortillas. Anything made strictly with white flour just tastes bland now.
