It was a fantastic October day out with some great friends. There was a lot of company too. The trail to Melakwa Lakes was in its usual state of well maintained but rocky. The climber trail over point 5700 was easy to follow but knee busting on the way down. The descent into the South Basin of Kaleetan was icy and required care but much easier on the way up and the summit scramble was enjoyable as ever. The many parties up there generally took turns or stayed out of each other's way and the view were enjoyed by all! Full Trip Report
