Spent a fall weekend out in the beautiful Methow and was curious how much gold was still around.
Went in via Tiffany Lake, headed up to Honeymoon Pass, and then ascended west to the lake. Bootpath was covered by snow, but the lake wasn't hard to find. Larches were past prime but still pretty good looking. Only saw a few others, but all were at the lower lake or the pass. Chilly blue sky day mixed with gold = can't complain.
Love that area, upper Tiffany Lake has great larches. Tiffany is also a fun peak from Freezeout Ridge to the west, did that this summer via a great trail all the way to the top.
