FRIENDS OF HEYBROOK RIDGE HOEDOWN! Saturday evening October 20 at the River House in Index Washington. $25 gets you in, a great dinner, and entertainment for the evening with a fun bluegrass band. Come one come all to help raise money for the Friends of Heybrook Ridge and their future projects.
Hello All! I've been busy with WTA building a ( future) ADA trail in the woods Northeast of the existing trail up to Heybrook Ridge. Just wanted to advertise for this event. The Friends of Heybrook Ridge have bought the ridge and WTA has made a great trail up it. Now we are building the "Erinswood' trail on the flats as an ADA loop. If you are interested, you can join work parties at wta.org. This event will be fun. It's obviously a benefit to support their efforts at trail building and future acquisitions to eventually connect the ridge trail to the Heybrook Lookout. ( negotiations in progress.) this is a worthy event ( in the immortal words of Harvey Manning...) and you should consider coming to Index for this event. If you can't come, they would really appreciate any donations however small. Thanks for thinking about it!!!

Updated information. The Hoedown is coming up and should be a hoot! I understand that the food is great, drinks are cheaper than normal at the River House, and that the auction is not to be missed. Hope to see you there!!!
P.S. the ADA trail loop that WTA has been building there is now almost complete. If you go out to walk up Heybrook Ridge ( now called the Leovy trail after its most generous benefactor) you can now add in a .6 mile loop on the new trail through lovely second growth ( huge!) forest there.....
