Notwithstanding a few minor hurdles, cooling system issues, and equipment failures, managed nonetheless to savor the sights and sounds, the long and dark and cold nights, the foggy mornings, and still have time to do a little diving into an icy cold river.

There's some extensive trail work being done on the beach trails along the Kalaloch Coastal Strip. New cribbing is being installed, and some sections are being turnpiked. The newly-sawn cedar timbers were wonderfully aromatic.
