Great find, Cartman. You just helped me check off a couple of gifts this season.

These are very cool. As mentioned above, what great gift ideas!

Bumping this because I just ordered some maps for Idaho. The promotion 3 for the price of 2 is still on.

Is the map store in the Alderwood mall closed? I was there last weekend and couldn't find it.

It all depends on what you want to use them for. I think they serve best as bucket list maps. Western Ski Areas and the Nat'l Parks map have both been popular.

For detail, try to find the Pargeter maps of the Cascades and Olympics, and Dee Molenaar's map of the Rainier area. They're all fantastic with superb detail and information, and excellent for putting up on the wall.
Gwen, does Metsker's have any of the Pargeter Maps still available? I see their website is defunct again, so I'm assuming the family has printed all they're going to from the latest round.

The Pargeters are currently a thing of the past, along with Dee's maps.
I'm working with Kroll on some terrain maps of the Cascades (WA) but they will be very different from the Pargeters maps.

That's too bad, the Pargeters and Molenaar's maps are the best. So detailed and comprehensive. Glad I picked up extra copies of the three Cascades Pargeters when they reprinted them recently.
