Glad it turned out okay. Know your limits. Don't get blinded by the goal and ignore the journey. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/hiker-from-germany-trying-to-complete-pacific-crest-trail-saved-by-concerned-womans-phone-call/ar-BBPavQQ

Goldene Brown seems to have done a great job of distilling a feel good story into something else. tongue.gif In case you missed it: https://www.nwhikers.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8028533

Thanks Tom. I did miss it. Please feel free to delete or fold the post into that thread for the article.

It might be good to leave this here. For late arrivers, the thread linked by Tom above is an amazing story of NWHikers' own "Nancyann" making a call to SAR that saved the life of a young PCT thru-hiker from Germany. And NWHikers itself played a bit part in the drama!

Hot damn, Nancy. Al is so proud of you!

Some people have better things to do with their lives than walking the dog. Some don't.

I wasn't aware of the other thread because of it's title, but this is simply amazing. For NancyAnn to have the knowledge and motivation to follow through after her chance meeting is an amazing charitable act. It is not everyday we have the opportunity to save someone's life. Fantastic, NancyAnn.

Nancy Ann, I'm curious if she stayed with you? Wow, I'm just so impressed with your tenacity to keep looking at the weather and not forget about her or leave her to her own fate. You help us remember what it means to love our neighbor... thank you!!!
