This trip report is way overdue and irrelevant now that the pass is open for skiing, but it was a fun one, so here goes:
A couple of Monday’s ago, Stevens Pass was still closed, so Hiking Partner and I booted south up the PCT to the top, put on our snowshoes, and then headed down Gemini Run to the Upper Mill Creek Road. From there we proceeded south up to a saddle under the power lines to a viewpoint. Unfortunately, storm clouds obscured most of the view, but it was still fun to get out the snowshoes!

There were a few splitboarders and skiers enjoying a little layer of powder.

And up the road to a little saddle. If you don’t mind power lines, there are some nice views south into the ALW, and there is a cute little tarn.

It was only 26 degrees and getting windy, so we ate a quick lunch, and then headed back the way we came.

On the way back, we were treated to a very fine sunset!
