Miriam fire smoke. If typical for time of year smokey in local valleys with night and early morning inversion. Smoke going up a little as day warms.

POTUS said today that California should not get any FEMA aid because of poor “Forrest Management”.  huh.gif

Perhaps!  Or possibly to Nathan Bedford Forrest, for whom Forrest Gump was named!  (Made millions as a slave trader, Civil War general responsible for the Fort Pillow massacre, and later a KKK Grand Dragon.)

I heard on NPR that someone subsequently informed him that a high % of the forests in the state of CA are on federal land.   rolleyes.gif  doof.gif

And a lot of what burned was not very forresty--Malibu, for example.  No FEMA for Barbie.
