I'm posting this ski video mostly for the interesting ice cave near the terminus of the Blackcomb Glacier. Lots of people going inside, hmmmm. Beautiful though. This was also a test of the GoPro Hero7 I got for Christmas, by far the best one yet, mostly for the built in software stabilization. In post I only employed basic color correction as I have the settings on the camera set at flat/neutral. This was my annual B'day ski vacation.....

Wow!! Thanks for posting. That looks like a really fun run. Were the conditions as good as they appear to be in the video? Do they groom back there?

No grooming except maintaining the track to access and the runout at the bottom. There had been no fresh snow for a while so conditions were rather stiff, but not icy. I've skied it before with velvety snow...not this time.

Thanks, it looked a beautiful day to be up there. I hope to try that run sometime.

That is a fun run! I am heading up there later in February so will check out that snow cave. Can`t remember seeing one there before but maybe I zoomed by. Nice to see how that run looks in clear weather; seems like I am always skiing that or the Spanky`s runs in fog or snow. Nice Blizzard skis; they are the best!

Awesome video! I was out there on Saturday and Sunday. There is some great hike-to terrain. They got 18" of new snow on Friday, but it was heavy cascade concrete. Sunday was frigid (-7F), but it was dumping all day! Amazing powder day.
Did you go down spanky's ladder too? That's a fun run

If a run has any iteration of the word “spank” in it, a 64 y/o should probably pass. Also, the snow was not great when I was there, pretty skied off.

Spankys north facing bowls are great when filled with loose powder. When skied out which happens fast they can be difficult. When crusty or ice they become extreme expert territory.
