I saw another article about this somewhere online in the last few days. The situation with the polar bears is the most disturbing aspect of climate change - - you know other critters are being impacted, but this is so ... in your face. I almost never watch nature shows anymore because they're so depressing. There's always some kind of horrible impact on animals - poaching, habitat loss, etc etc and mostly nothing we can do about it, directly. Gets me all wound up about the (mostly) failure of the last 60 years or so of the environmental "movement". My motto now is, "don't get too upset, you can't do anything about it, get out there and enjoy what's left while you can".
