Apparently you do not appreciate the fine art of poodle-kicking! If you want to hike Pugh without crowds, you've missed the boat on that one. On weekends at least.

I am retired, so I can pick my spots. What I want is a clear day, but not too hot.

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

Me too, although I add one more stipulation: Not on the weekend or a holiday!

I really want to do the Bald Eagle loop hike and stay at Blue lake the second and 3rd days and hike out the 4th, probably mid to late July.

The I90 corridor is for day hiking only, all the trailheads are over run. I generally prefer overnights and extended trips on the east side of Rainier ( Goat Rocks, William Douglas, Norse Peak). I’m running one time in eight years for the enchantments lottery, obviously a too popular hiking area. Benchmark Mountain area is another favorite.

In terms of I-90 hikes, I've always been able to avoid hordes by combining two strategies: Hike weekdays (Thursday is empirically ideal) and hike after 4 PM. Went up Mt Washington last evening and there were zero people going up and at the top. Wonderful sunset too with all sorts of purples and reds. Only needed headlamps after getting to the Owl spot. Unfortunately no-one had abandoned a kickable poodle and yoga leggings were nowhere to be seen

1. Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness 2. Eagle Cap Wilderness 3. Sawtooth Wilderness 4. Seven Devils (Hell's Canyon National Rec Area) 5. Cabinet Mountains Wilderness Obviously that list speaks to the fact that I do not live on the west side of Washington. I'd put the Enchantment Lakes somewhere near the top of this list except for the fact that I haven't been able to draw a permit there in 15 years!

Nice list, that should keep you busy for quite a while. Absaroka-Beartooth in particular is huge. If you run out of things to do you can throw the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness on your list. I'd recommend the Bighorn Crags area in particular.

I've actually been to all of them; The Cabinets, Eagle Cap, and Seven Devils many, many times. I came into the Beartooth from the south through Cooke City Mt to do a ropeless climb of Granite Peak. You're right, the Beartooth is huge and for the most part pretty lonesome.

Mt Si is my favorite ! I can't wait to go up there again and take some selfies and post them on instragram. First I have to get some tattoos and dye my hair pink. And get a dog.

Nice. I did Granite Peak from the north, camped at Froze To Death Plateau. I've enjoyed several excursions in the Beartooths.

I would do Annapurna first, then you will likely be dead and not have to worry about the rest. BTW, wtf is this "Squak"?

It's one of the 8000 meter summits of the Issaquah Alps.
