Just an FYI
We hiked into Enchanted Valley on Saturday 3/30. On our way, we saw a single black bear about 3-4 miles before the chalet in the valley. There was almost no snow over the whole trip. There were maybe 100 yards of snow the whole 13 miles. The temperature was similar to Quinault.
Overnight the temp dropped a little below freezing, but it was very manageable with a few layers. We didn't see the bear on our way down, but we did see an elk in a similar area!
The trail had a couple brushy areas, but our group did a little cleaning. I would say the trail is good to go! The waterfalls at the top are plentiful and beautiful. We even watched a couple wet slide avalanches fall down the mountain on the north side of the valley.
Get out there!
