and heal up too .... between football, work and outdoor activities this summer the crew is pretty banged up this year .... gotta heal up and get ready for next year! I am thinking about doing a winter hike (never done it before) any ideas?

Depends on what you are prepared to take on? Are you equipped for over nighters and cold weather camping?

Yes. Just havent gone.... i have snow shoes and -30 bag etc, etc.... just need a place to go. Want a fairly easy one as it will be a first.

Sorry to revive an old thread on my first post, but did anyone attempt this since 2010? Debating whether Eagle Lake -> Lake Simms or Sunset Mine -> Simms/Sunset Lake is an easier route. The Sunset Mine approach looks like about 6 miles of bushwhacking.

Hello just wondering have you ever made it to Sunset Lake?been reading this thread for awhile over the years never got around to registering. Anyways I have made it up to Sunset Lake twice great fishing and the dam that was made for the sunset mine is still there

I have done it 3 different ways. Yes last time was up Trout creek but that way is getting more over grown and has a fair amount of down trees.
