Quite interesting, and yes, well worth the read. i've driven through the general area, and wondered about the various layers, but have never stopped to dig anything up. I know of a location in SW ND with a couple of what looks to be fossilized cottonwood stumps or large branches sticking out of the side of a creek bed with "posted, no trespassing" signs nailed to them.

I'm just old enough to remember when we didn't realize know what killed the dinosaurs off. That just makes this a fascinating read.
