Brian Curtis I figured you probably had been to this lake before. But then again is there a lake you have not been to.

It is named, not on Green Trail maps for some reason, but it is a named lake.

I have never used that book so I am not sure. But I would guess it's probably not.

This area is a long way out of my wheelhouse, but I'll say Bauer Lk (which is listed as unnamed in LoW) near Richmond Lk.

I am shocked that borank was able to identify a lake from an area that "is a long way out of his wheelhouse".

That is Cardinal Lake. A good candidate for the highest tarn, but this one is higher, assuming it really exists. It is a snowfield in every satellite photo that I've seen.

Cool, Brian. Yeah, I liked the one near Cardinal because it seems to be a good sized body of water (~1 acre) and shows up in the satellite image, despite not being on some maps. It's the only one I know of that's higher than the highest of the Enchantment Lakes.
Interesting that the one you posted on Rainier is actually on the USGS 7.5' topo.
