This is worth an hour of your time. You can read it, or listen on the way to your favorite trailhead. https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2019/04/08/the-day-the-dinosaurs-died

Quite interesting, and yes, well worth the read. i've driven through the general area, and wondered about the various layers, but have never stopped to dig anything up. I know of a location in SW ND with a couple of what looks to be fossilized cottonwood stumps or large branches sticking out of the side of a creek bed with "posted, no trespassing" signs nailed to them. lol.gif Thanks for sharing.

I've seen a lot of articles on this recently but this one is by far the best.

I'm just old enough to remember when we didn't realize know what killed the dinosaurs off. That just makes this a fascinating read. smile.gif

Thanks for posting that link, Cyclopath. Fascinating. Took me down an internet browsing maze for a while afterward; not just the relevant Wikipedia articles, but some videos too, like this one: The Day the Dinosaurs Died up.gif
