I just saw the second Fantastic Beasts movie, and there are all these clues being dropped that prequel the Harry Potter books/movies. I've heard there are going to be five Fantastic Beasts movies in all. I read the entire Potter series when it was released. Now I'm thinking I might want to reread them again, as a mind refresher. Does anyone else ever reread books a few years later?

That's about as crazy as re-climbing the same peak!

That confirms it then. I've climbed some peaks more than once....so I gotta be crazy!

There are books I've read two or three times. They're the ones with post-it note bookmarks, underlining, and annotations.

I've definitely re-read books. Not any weirder than watching a movie more than once in my mind.

Used to reread Moby Dick every year, always something new to discover.

The Hitchhiker's five book trilogy still cracks me up.

When many years and experience come between the 1st and 2nd reads, it can an amazingly different experience. (Both good and bad.) Music can be that way, too.

Absolutely. Just like good food, if it's good, it's good more than once (left-overs)

Backpacking: limited to one pack at a time. Cameras: limited to as many as I can carry.

I've probably read that around 20+ times since I was younger.

rereading books is like visiting an old friend you haven't seen in a long long time. Very satisfying.

I reread books a lot, if they are worthwhile. I reread Jane Austen's novels (except for Mansfield Park) every year! "Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested" ----Francis Bacon (1561-1626)

Couldn't have said it better. I often figure I must be weird. Re-reading/watching/listening to old favorites is definitely part of my MO. (If re-reading a book is weird, why isn't listening to a favorite song for the hundredth time?)
