So I gave Red Top (Teanaway) at try today. At approximately the 5.5 mile (from the pavement) I ran into this snow spot on a climbing left hand turn. I suppose I could have four wheeled over it but you can see one vehicle actually started to go over the edge. I decided brains were more important than balls and I turned around. Im going to give Pete lake a try in a day or so.

I fell into a similar trap yesterday in a small patch of snow. It took me two hours to get unstuck and I finally had to jack up my car and put rocks underneath the tires for traction as it was high centered. Only 50' more and I could have made it. I learned my lesson.
The snow patch where I got stuck. 50' more and I would have made it. There were no more snow patches for three miles after this. Onward for an 18-mile bike ride.
