Interesting enough, whether you agree or not. BTW, if you scroll down, you will see that "Natural Environment" actually refers to air/water quality, exposure to pollutants.... (Not physical features. That's why Rhode Island is #1 and we only rate #14.)

Ugh. As if we didn't already have enough people moving to the area.

This place sucks, don't move here!

The page for Washington is interesting: Washington State
Scroll down to the photo and check out all 11 photos with comments. The comments include:
"The Evergreen State's diverse geography has it all: The Olympic Mountains, the San Juan Islands and the nation's highest peak at Mount Rainier make Washington an outdoor enthusiast's paradise." - Mt. Rainier?
"Washington produces 70 percent of the country's apples, and also leads in production of wheat, milk and potatoes." - #10 in milk? Leads only in apples.
"Washington is home to 13 national parks, drawing in millions of visitors annually." - 13?

Marvelous. The ONLY good thing is that 99% of those folks will be in Queen county, and NOT East where I live.

That's some pretty terrible journalism right there.

This is bunk. How could they not point out that the world's only orcas and narwhals live in Washington?

Wait till they figure out they give you your own giant panda when you get a resident driver’s license.
It is a pain keeping enough Panda Chow on hand.

Probably confused "most prominent" in the lower 48 with highest.

Interesting to consider the top 3 in each category:
health care: HI, MA, CT
education: MA, NJ, FL
economy: CO, UT, WA
infrastructure: OR, WA, UT
opportunity: NH, IA, MN
fiscal stability: TN, FL, SD
crime: NH, VT, ME
natural enviro: RI, SD, MN
Looking at this, trying to figure what the top 3 have in common in each category that gives that ranking; e.g., states w/low crime stats - least # of the age demographic that commits the most crime? does FL have great education and fiscal stability because they have lots of taxation wealth but few kids? RI as #1 in environmental quality is totally counterintuitive.

We have 3, somebody probably hit 1 by accident and didn't notice. Journalism is dying and nobody can afford proof readers anymore.
