Wow, Joker, Forestscape is perfecto!

Those are cheeky buggers, Joe! Last weekend, nine of us hiked up to Thomas Mountain in the Easton Ridge complex. What a steep trail! But the dam at the bottom was a nice calming place on the way down. While I was taking photos, a bat was flying around the pool and came zipping past our faces a couple of times. It landed on the cedar tree at right for a few minutes, then resumed the hunt.

Water surface on the MidFork Snoqualmie a few nights back, when the broader landscape wasn't quite getting the light, but this one little cloud was catching some warm low sun and reflecting in the river in a nice way as we cooked up our "picnic dinner" before heading home for the night...

up.gif I love this kind of close up on water, so mesmerizing. The constantly changing colors and ripple patterns. Looks like an oil painting.
