Bad weather in the west, but good in Teannaway. Josh had two attempts on Jolly and used to call it the toughest peak he ever attempted, mainly because of some weird fiasco which played out. Having seen the consistent lack of snow throughout WA on 6k peaks, we agree that the melt is at least a month ahead of normal.
The Louvre - 6394'
Parked at 5040 feet and walked bermed road east onto ridge crest trail. Trail junction saddle north of Jolly and drop down to the lower saddle. Old trail remnant goes most of the way to Louvre, but is hard to see in places. Minor class 3 finish.
Skookum and Louvre Humerus and Jolly Humerus Chimney Rock Louvre summit Hawkins Stuart
Skookum Peak - 6050'
Minor bump on the ridge with an interesting west face. Probably of volcanic origin.

Jolly Mountain - 6443'
Never thought I would end up doing this peak 3 times. First time 9 years ago with Bryan and Fletcher.
Cradle Humerus
Humerus Hill - 5920'
Motorcycles have torn up the trails in this entire area pretty badly. You can see the damage best on the way down to Humerus. Also the burn seems fresh. Last year, or the one before? Steep off trail, the last 100 feet.
Back Court 83/100 Bears Breast
Cle Elum Ridge - 3760'
It would have been nice to drive part way up this last peak, but as it turned out, we drove the whole way. Truthfully, I was stalling to avoid 405 traffic.

Was amazed at how melted out the Stuart Range was. Nice to be in the rain shadow.

The Johnson Jumping spider is widespread in the west being located from the plains to the Pacific. If you flip over the rocks you will often find its tubular nest. Your photo shows the female.
