lordy I despise Vert Video for exactly that reason. A pox upon it. My GF shoots vertical all the time, and a wonderful hi resolution camera on her phone produces middling results with context mostly missing, other than the tiny number of times portrait format is appropriate. Funny though, now I can tell if she's shooting pix to send to me because that's the only time the dang phone is the correct way in her hands...sideways. Moving right along...

The "tell" in the Rube Goldberg car parts device is the tires rolling uphill. When the commercial with Michael Schumacher came out, there were a number of posts on the web by folks analyzing the wall and light patterns on the tunnel walls suggesting it was contrived. A few folks who understand the physics of what it would take for it to be real also weighed in. Snowball, however, is the real deal.
