Yes, I have led quite a few youth trips now and its a vision to see them realize that their Snapchat streaks will end and their phones will revert to digital cameras in airplane mode.
They love it. And a successful trip is when they stop fretting about whether that unreliable person they arranged to log in on their account to keep their streak going while they're gone will actually do so. A strange, unreal world.
On an interesting side note, when you talk to kids they tell you that their phones are bad for them, that they make them more unhappy, but their world has been reordered to nearly require them.
