This was a high ski Traverse of the Olympic Range from North to South.
I will give a brief description now with more of a video TR. And we will post a link to Jason Hummel's in depth writings (when he gets around to finishing the story).
Day 1: We began at the Sol Duc Hot Springs TH and camped at the end of the High Divide trail.
Day 2: Over the Catwalk, Skied Mount Carrie and Fairchild Peak. Camped on the Fairchild Glacier.
Day 1 & 2- https://vimeo.com/343129329
Day 3: Fairchild Glacier to Mount Ferry. Dropping down to Cream Lake and climbing up to a little lake below the NW face of Ferry.
Day 4: Mount Ferry to Mount Queets. Skied the South face of Queets.
Day 3 & 4- https://vimeo.com/343229338
Day 5: Queets to Low Divide Camp. Skied the flanks of Mount Meany, the N.E face of Mount Noyes.
Day 6: Low Divide to Delabarre Creek. Skied a line near the east summit of Mount Christie and a steep couloir off the North side of Delabarre Peak.
Day 5 & 6- https://vimeo.com/345832942
Day 7: Delabarre Creek to Muncaster Mountain.
Day 8: Muncaster Mountain to the Quinault River and Graves Creek.

If you seek adventure, the Olympics will definitely fill your order.
Photos to come.

Very cool, I've done all of that but not with skis! Loads o bush to wack. The only place that may be easier is that slot to slope between Fairchild and Stephens Lk. We found that difficult with no snow because of how hard the "scree" was below the slot.
You know the traverse from Queets Basin south on the other side of Noyes / Meany?
Thanks for the report.

54@gmail.com,
We had looked at the route that went around to the west of Meany and to the South basin of Noyes, but we wanted to ski the east face of Noyes and Meany(if it had snow to the summit),so going over the Queets-Meany Col was the most direct ski travel, but had a few route finding challenges.
Would love to hear about your route! Did you go over the top of Delabarre?

Thanks,
From the pass at Martins we usually go low and drop into Rustler then up into Muncaster. Easy
Looks like you guys did Fire not the ugly other alternative.
The other route to the S sidehills from Q basin to the Skyline.

Wow!
While I’ve been on much of that route- never with skis- and certainly never skiing down some of that stuff.
It would be great to have a non-music option for the videos also. I like hearing the guys, but don’t like hearing music with this sort of stuff.
Thanks for posting up!
