If you ever thought about going to Klonaqua lakes don’t bother. Too many bugs, people and 10 miles and 3000 ft elevation gain. Yeah. I’m not sure if the second trip was worse than the first. I’ll have to do a third trip to confirm just how bad it was. The camp was almost 12 feet from the water so the waves were noisy.
The view was pretty good but there was an island in the way.
We had to paddle around it for a better view.
There were like eight other people up there and the place is so small we saw them once. The main attraction was my wife’s new bug zapper. https://www.amazon.com/Zap-Zapper-Racket-4000V-Rechargeable/dp/B06WW6831F Yeah. Oh well.

Ya, you've shown VERY poor judgement going there in the first place! down.gif

I’m so sorry your view was blocked by an island, that’s pretty rough. At least you had a zapper.

When I grow up I wanna play.

And, in the background, the water spilling over that cliff. WTF! What a visual annoyance that must've been! Sucks to be you! Loser! I plan on doing Trico through a backdoor soon. Thanks for the vantage point from that spot

Don't try to camp on that island (without a hammock) or take a raft to the other side and scramble up to Swede's lest you be eaten alive by skeeters. I learned my lesson a decade or so ago but apparently didn't do enough to warn others.
