My housemate got a camera and since I’m out on lesser known trails a lot, I decided to try my luck with his camera. I didn’t realize that a moving branch can trigger the camera so when I picked it up just a few days later there were 6500 images. I told him to delete everything but he somehow managed to find that the camera did indeed capture images of 2 bears and 2 elk. I was really amazed as it was only out there a few days. Can’t wait to do this again. Here are my poor quality images because the camera focused on the tree branch but you can see the bears and elk. The elk seemed interested in the camera and went right up to it.

Awesome! Ummm, I could be wrong, but I think that's a young bull moose! Was this in the North Cascades or Methow Valley Area. Very few Elk there.

All elk. Got some cool moose on my Methow cam. Throw a mineral block out and you will have more animals than you can shake a stick at

Mess'n around with video mode & trying to reduce false triggers. Last time I retrieved the memory card I had lots of false triggers due to a small tree swaying in the wind. Grrrr... It wouldn't have been a problem if the camera would have been placed several more feet away from that small tree. Found a game trail intersection that looked promising and scanned the surrounding area to see if anything would trigger false captures. Looked good! This time, 14 true captures and 2 false triggers in a 72 hour time period Get'n it dialed in I think
