Hello all!
New member. I am planning an early August trip of the Bailey Traverse linking with the Skyline Ridge trail in Olympic National Park. I did this same trip almost 20 years ago. However, I understand that the Snow Finger descent from Dodwell-Rixon Pass has deteriorated significantly in recent years. I have talked with the Wilderness Information Center, who seem to have no direct information of its condition, but speak of doom and gloom.
Does anyone have any direct information of its current conditions? I may need to consider an alternate route.
Thanks in advance!
Rob
Thanks! That was helpful.
As a follow-up question, has anyone descended the Queets valley from Dodwell-Rixon? I imagine that the bushwacking would be epic, but would consider the feasibility.
